Federal Window Tint Regulations

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation 49 CFR §393.60(d) permits window tinting on commercial truck windshields and front side windows, provided the finished glazing transmits at least 70% of visible light.

AIR 80 may be an option for compliant applications, depending on the truck's original glass and its measured transmission after installation. Additional state restrictions may apply.
