Qualifying LLumar automotive window films are backed by a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty covering specified defects in the film itself. Covered conditions may include cracking, peeling, delamination, deterioration of metallic layers, and unusual discoloration resulting from product failure.

Approved warranty claims include replacement of the defective film and installation according to the manufacturer's terms. Standard coverage is generally limited to the original vehicle owner and eligible applications.

Limited Lifetime and Product-Specific Warranties

Many qualifying LLumar residential solar-control films carry limited lifetime manufacturer warranties. Certain specialty products and applications have shorter warranty periods.

Coverage addresses specified film defects, including bubbling, peeling, delamination, and material deterioration under normal approved conditions.

Residential warranty eligibility depends on the exact film series, glass configuration, installation surface, and manufacturer specifications. Glass breakage and insulating-glass seal failure protection, when available, are separate limited warranty benefits with additional requirements.

Safety and Security Window Film

Residential and Commercial Limited Warranties

LLumar safety and security films are protected by manufacturer warranties appropriate to the selected product and application.

Qualifying warranties address specified failures of the protective film material, including peeling, delamination, corrosion, and other covered manufacturing defects. Certain commercial LLumar safety and security films carry 10-year limited coverage, while residential coverage varies by product.

These warranties protect against defined film defects. They do not guarantee that glass will remain unbroken, prevent forced entry, or eliminate damage during severe weather or impacts.

 

Exterior and Anti-Graffiti Films

Specialized Limited Warranties

LLumar exterior-applied and anti-graffiti films have warranty requirements distinct from interior solar-control films.

Exterior film warranty eligibility depends on the selected product, installation orientation, glass compatibility, and required edge-sealing procedures.

Anti-graffiti films provide a replaceable protective surface, but intentional scratching, physical penetration, and vandalism are not automatically covered as manufacturing defects.

The applicable manufacturer documentation determines the warranty term and eligible conditions.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

5-Year, 10-Year, and 12-Year Limited Warranties

LLumar paint protection films carry different manufacturer warranty periods according to the installed product:

• 5 years: LLumar standard Gloss and Matte PPF.

• 10 years: LLumar Platinum Gloss, Platinum Matte, Platinum Extra, and Select Black.

• 12 years: LLumar Valor PPF.

These limited warranties protect against qualifying film defects as defined by the applicable manufacturer warranty. Coverage does not mean all accidental damage, road debris impacts, paint damage, or scratches are eligible for replacement.

Proper cleaning, maintenance, and approved installation surfaces are required to preserve warranty eligibility.

Marine and Specialty Applications

Application-Specific Warranty Protection

Marine vessels, recreational vehicles, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, and other specialty installations may have different warranty eligibility requirements than ordinary automotive or architectural applications.

LLumar Marine Protection Film carries a 3-year limited manufacturer warranty for eligible marine applications. Marine window tint and other specialty film installations require confirmation of the specific manufacturer's warranty provisions.

Standard automotive limited lifetime coverage should not be assumed to apply to every specialty vehicle or installation.

Customers should retain their original invoice, installation information, and any applicable manufacturer warranty registration or certificate.

Warranty concerns should be reported to us for inspection and evaluation. We will help determine whether the issue falls under LLumar's manufacturer warranty or our separate Quality Workmanship Guarantee.

All manufacturer coverage remains subject to the official warranty issued for the installed product, including eligibility requirements, limitations, exclusions, and claim procedures.
